Individuals and families - whether beginners or veteran sky watchers - are invited to join the Boise Astronomical Society to share the wonders of the sky. The public is welcome to attend regular meetings at The Discovery Center of Idaho, 131 W. Myrtle Street, at 7:30 p.m. on the second Friday of each month. (The meeting room is in the back of the main building; watch for the BAS sign.
Each meeting features a presentation by members or special guests on some aspect of astronomy. Recent topics have included telescope operation and construction, use of star charts, constellation, planetary nebulae, the moon, cosmology, astrophotography and CCD imaging.
