The Astronomical League Observing Clubs Workbooks

The workbooks have been created for the members of BAS to aid them in both the completion of the Astronomical League Observing Clubs and to make identifying objects in the sky easer. Each Club has a list of targets, and each of these targets has a two page PDF file. The first page of the file gives information about the target, along with a map, photo, drawing or other descriptions. This information is to help make finding and identifying the object easer. The second page gives the observer a location to record information about what they see. In most cases there is space for more information then the Club requires for completion. Go ahead and fill it out. This is not just a challenge to find these objects, this is a opportunity to build your own catalog, which will be come your own map through the stars.

The first workbook I will be working on is the Constellation Hunters Club. My plan to to later work on the Messier Club, the Double Star and the Lunar Club. There may me others at some point. If you have an idea or a suggestion please let me know at webmaster@boiseastro.org.
